Professional areas of interest
I practice across the full range of family medicine, but have special interest in women's, pediatric, and adolescent health care as well as cholesterol disorders, diabetes, and hypertension management.

Personal Information
I was born in a rural town in central Missouri but have lived in the Kansas City area most of my life. I have a 24 year-old son named Jeremy who graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts in Mesa, Arizona, as a sound engineer and is now traveling the world and managing the live sound on a cruise ship. My other "children" are a 7 year old black Miniature Schnauzzer named Mya and a 13 year old Maine Coon cat named Maggie. Outside of family medicine, my personal interests include travel, sailing, gardening, and remodeling projects in my home. I am also the Vice President of the Board of Directors at my church and I am spearheading a leadership development project at church, both of which keep me fairly busy.

Education:
Undergraduate - Bachelors of Nursing - University of Kansas, Kansas City: 1993.
Medical Education - Masters in Nursing - University of Kansas, Kansas City: 1996.
